Cancer Council Victoria was established by legislation as a charity, so we have always relied on the goodwill of Victorians interested in reducing the burden of cancer. Today, our outreach to Victorians is most recognisably through our highly visible public events, such as Daffodil Day, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Relay for Life, and our Research Giving Day. But over our history, our outreach to Victorians has taken many forms, including radio fundraising drives, door-knocking campaigns, public giving drives at major sporting events, and other less formal outreach efforts that bring people into the Cancer Council Victoria story.
