New Cancer Council Victoria research released on the eve of Australia's world-first plain packaging legislation coming into effect has revealed one in four Victorian smokers still believe the health effects of smoking have been exaggerated.

Switch Off Solariums (SOS) is a partnership between Cancer Council Victoria, the Australian Medical Association Victorian Branch, Skin & Cancer Foundation Inc and the Victorian Faculty of the Australasian College of Dermatologists who have joined forces to fight for a ban on solariums and their use in Victoria.
