A coalition of health agencies has slammed the Senate's decision to reject the alcopops bill. The coalition, made up of the Australian Drug Foundation, Cancer Council Victoria, Turning Point Alcohol & Drug Centre and VicHealth, is adamant that more needs to be done by the Government to promote a safer drinking culture in Australia.

Alcohol policy coalition urges senate to pass bill

A Coalition of concerned health agencies today urged the Senate to pass the alcopops bill. "The Senate must ensure that alcopops are not sold at pocket money prices," said the Alcohol Policy Coalition spokesperson and Australian Drug Foundation's Head of Policy, Geoff Munro.
