Talking to Community about Bowel and Cervical Screening
Talkling to Community about Bowel and Cervical Screening is a free online training course.
The two modules aim to deliver key messages on cervical and bowel screening, to increase knowledge and build confidence to discuss screening, early detection, and immunisation messages to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members.
The course is comprised of two self-paced modules taking approximately 30-minutes to complete each.

Oral health professionals play a vital role in oral cancer prevention, detection and referral. The Victorian Oral Cancer Screening & Prevention Program, led by Dental Health Services Victoria, produces evidence-based oral cancer information and training for Victorian oral health professionals, in partnership with the University of Melbourne Dental School, the Australian Dental Association (Victorian Branch), La Trobe University Department of Dentistry & Oral Health and the Department of Health. Oral cancer prevention, detection and referral
The Oral Cancer Learning Hub is a free online resource that supports oral health professionals to identify people at risk, detect cancers of the oral cavity and oropharynx early and refer appropriately. The resource includes evidence-based information, practical resources, referral pathways, patient case studies and a CPD quiz with a personalised learning plan. It aims to enhance oral health professionals’ confidence, knowledge and skills in oral cancer risk and prevention; oral mucosal examination; recognising suspicious lesions; record keeping; and appropriate referral (note that this resource and training is not produced by Cancer Council Victoria and access is via the Oral Cancer Learning Hub).
Accreditation
A certificate for 3 scientific continuing professional development points will be awarded upon passing the quiz.
