Wycheproof P-12 College in regional Victoria was one of the growing number of schools supporting the work of Cancer Council Victoria by hosting its first ever Relay for Life event.
The event had a fantastic turn out of students, along with members of the school and wider community, raising over $12,000, an impressive effort for a small community.
The college is one of many schools participating in the school-based version of Relay for Life. Beaconhills College in Melbourne’s south-east hosted an event for the second year running. While inclement weather hindered their plans, they showed great resilience and held the event indoors, still managing to raise over $38,000.
We appreciate all schools and communities who get involved in Relay for Life. It’s a unique celebration of life where we celebrate survivors, remember loved ones lost and fight back against cancer.
