Cancer information more accessible for all

Early in the year our website went through a transformation, making it easier for people to navigate to the information they need, in the language of their preference, or in their preferred format.

The introduction of the accessibility toolbar and the ability to access the website in up to 30 different languages enables people with low levels of literacy, and those who speak languages other than English, to access the information they need in a way that suits them.

“Cancer can affect anyone at any time,” said Danielle Spence, Head of Strategy and Support. “By making our website more accessible with the introduction of tools like ‘Recite Me’ and our new Easy Read information and ‘in language’ preferences, more people can get the cancer information they need which can empower them to have better conversations with their treating team and their family and loved ones.”
