This research program included studies of use and perceptions of solariums, newsworthiness of and compliance with solarium legislation, and the role on public advocacy in banning solariums in the state of Victoria and Australia as a whole. This and other research programs contribute to Cancer Council Victoria’s designation as a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Ultraviolet Radiation.
