Laryngectomee Association of Victoria Inc
The Laryngectomee Association of Victoria Inc. Support Group meets monthly on a Sunday morning (11.30am) at a community venue in South Yarra. The venue is accessible by public transport and includes features such as accessible toilets, however there are no ramps into the building. The group welcomes people who have laryngectomees and people who have similar vocal conditions (not necessarily caused by cancer) as well as carers and family members. Activities such as peer discussion and education sessions are sometimes split into two groups so people experiencing cancer and carers can each discuss matters of importance to them. There are no fees to attend meetings; a voluntary membership fee of $15 is required if members wish to vote at the yearly AGM. Donations are accepted.
