Fund a research award

A woman reads a report in a research labThe Research Awards Program has existed since 1980 to provide donors with a chance to fund a specific type of cancer research and be acknowledged in the Annual Review for their generosity.

It offers donors who have given $5,000 or more, the option of allocating their donation to a specific area, funded through our Research Management Unit grants.

Each research project grant generally runs for 3 to 4 years. The program provides an incentive to raise $5,000 or more each year to continue the specific Research Award. The project selected by the donor or team may be deemed as needing donors’ support or it may be a cancer research project of personal interest.

Types of Research Awards:

  • Donor Research Award
For donors contributing $5,000 or more in a given year or wanting to fund a continuing Research Award.
  • Fundraiser Research Award

  • Corporate Research Award
This type of award is given to corporations who make a donation of $10,000 or more in any given year.
